Preventing injuries, stopping injuries before they worsen, and screening for severity of injury and musculoskeletal dysfunction are areas that our team of doctors of physical therapy, licensed massage therapists and medical exercise specialists have expertise.
With overuse injuries being one of the top ranked injuries for a business, it should be a focal point when looking at ways to reduce health related costs of employees. Overuse injuries can be any injury that is a result of repetitive movement which can be in a factory assembly line, on a construction site or in an office at a desk. In a traditional health care model, employees would contact a physician or physical therapist on their own-free-will using their health insurance with high deductibles; Patient will delay seeking care for their injuries and just ignore the symptoms. Eventually the symptoms will become severe enough that they are absent from work and eventually make an appointment with a health care provider. We can offer a solution to the traditional model!
At Bedford Physical Therapy & Fitness all our Physical Therapists have a Doctorate and are trained in ways to screen a patient for injuries to decide whether they need to be referred out to another specialist or can be further treated by our Physical Therapist. We can bring in a team of up to 3 specialty areas that include physical therapy, massage therapy, and fitness training with a goal to reduce injuries before they happen and help eliminate injuries before they become severe. We charge an hourly rate for our contract services. We offer massage services, manual physical therapy techniques, dry needling, ergonomic suggestions, strength training, stretching and cardio consultation.
We request a minimum of 4 hours per week at your business for our services so that your employees will have enough time to be seen and the services will be of therapeutic value. We also request that you allow your employees time to see us during the hours that we are at your business. Your employees will not incur any costs for treatment unless it is appropriate that they require further therapy or other health services outside of contracted times. Amount of services, days, and times can be adjusted to what is appropriate for your company. We can provide a survey to use with your employees to better assess needs of the employees at your company.
